Disaster Management

Disaster Management

Building safer communities. Strengthening resilience for tomorrow.

At ONGC Foundation, disaster management is an integral part of our commitment to build safer, prepared and resilient communities. As a responsible organisation, we support initiatives that strengthen disaster preparedness, improve emergency response, enhance safety awareness and develop resilient infrastructure, particularly in vulnerable and disaster-prone areas.

Through focused interventions in areas such as disaster recovery, resilient infrastructure, emergency healthcare, sanitation and fire safety awareness, ONGC Foundation seeks to reduce risks, strengthen essential services and improve the ability of communities and institutions to prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Disaster Management Initiatives

Focused interventions that combine recovery, preparedness, safety and resilient infrastructure to support safer, stronger and more resilient communities.

Kedarnath & Disaster Recovery

The Kedarnath initiative supports restoration and strengthening of infrastructure following the 2013 disaster, contributing to recovery and improved resilience in a vulnerable pilgrimage location.

Badrinath, Char Dham & Fire Safety

The Badrinath project focuses on safer and better-managed riverfront infrastructure and public spaces, while the Char Dham initiative strengthens emergency healthcare and sanitation facilities. “Unite to Ignite – A Fire Safe India” promotes fire prevention, preparedness and safety awareness across communities.

Overall Impact: ONGC Foundation’s disaster management projects strengthen preparedness and response capacity in vulnerable locations, support safer and more resilient pilgrimage infrastructure, improve access to essential healthcare, water and sanitation facilities, protect heritage and local environments, and promote fire safety awareness and risk prevention.
