Sports Excellence Initiative

Building Grassroots Sporting Pathways Across Rural Communities

The Brahmaputra Volleyball League (BVL) Season 6 (2025–2026), executed by Assam Volleyball Mission 100 (AVM100), provides structured volleyball training to more than 8,000 children across 160 villages in Assam and Manipur. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots sports infrastructure, promote youth participation and support holistic child development through sport.

Background

Creating access to structured sport at the village level

BVL reaches 160 villages across 30 districts of Assam and two districts of Manipur, helping young players participate in regular coaching, league engagement and competitive play. The programme combines technical volleyball training with fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, nutrition awareness and hygiene practices.
