Financial Relief

The ONGC Sports Scholarship Scheme, formulated by the Corporate Sports Division, provides financial assistance to 250 economically weaker, talented young Indian sportspersons aged 15–20. The project aims to help athletes pursue their sporting dreams, bring acclaim and laurels to the country, and inspire younger generations to participate actively in sports.
The scheme supports talented young sportspersons from economically weaker families by providing direct financial assistance during a critical stage of athlete development. ONGC Foundation handles direct online monthly scholarship disbursements and also reimburses eligible health and accidental insurance expenses to strengthen athlete security and continuity.
The scheme is structured around financial need, gender parity and broad access across multiple sports disciplines and competition levels.

A strict 50% representation of females is maintained across the overall sports scholarship allocation.

The programme combines direct financial support with competition exposure, athlete protection and practical sporting support.
