Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not. At ONGC Foundation, we work to bridge that gap helping students from tribal communities, socially disadvantaged groups, minority communities and underserved regions access higher education and meaningful employment.
Through scholarships, mentorship, experiential learning and employment-oriented initiatives, the Foundation makes quality education more accessible and builds pathways from classrooms to careers. Three initiatives anchor this portfolio: the ONGC Merit Scholarship Programme, which supports meritorious students from diverse backgrounds in pursuing professional and higher education; engagement with the PM Internship Scheme (PMIS), which bridges education and employability through workplace exposure; and the EdCIL Smart Classroom Initiative, bringing technology-enabled learning to government schools in aspirational districts.

2,000 scholarships awarded every year across social categories 1,000 for SC/ST, 500 for OBC and 500 for General-EWS students supporting access to professional and higher education pan-India.
